The future Matthews met in the new world of social media. Alaysia is from California and Braxton is from Louisiana. With their similar childhoods it was a instant connection! Both attending HBCU’S and grandmothers with heavy impacts on their lives. Alaysia left California back in 2016 to pursue her degree in Sociology at South Carolina State University. Soon after graduating she landed a social worker job in Charleston, SC. After, completing a year in her field she moved to Houston, Texas to further her career/education and that is where she met Braxton. Braxton is Alumni of Grambling State. He holds a bachelors and Master degree. After graduating he moved to Dallas, Texas to further his career. With one trip to Houston he met Alaysia. From that point forward little did we know we were writing our love story.
